10 INVERNESS STREET

Ra-Ra Rok Records is located at 10 Inverness St, Camden Town, below Out On The Floor Records. The two mark the site of Camden’s longest standing, still-surviving record shops. The former is run by Rok Pete Donaghy, a Philadelphia native who came over to London to see The Clash perform in 1977, just as punk was exploding. He ended up staying here and became part of the exciting 1980’s music scene, running a shop in Kensington Market, an important location in the evolution of punk and new wave fashion and subculture. Pete is a true rock ‘n’ roll aficionado and his shop is devoted to rock music in its many forms, selling good-value second-hand records of both popular and obscure artists in the genre.
